snowshoeing
A few weeks ago we headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon for an afternoon outside! Clayton and I love snowshoeing and it's such a fun thing to do with the kids. But it took all day getting out the door, gathering all the snow clothes, snacks, water bottles, plus driving downtown to get the pair of snowshoes Clay's brother borrowed, and another stop at REI so we could rent a pair for Nina...phew!! But it was so worth it, just to get away from everything and up into some clean, fresh air. Nina had a rough time because she didn't get enough sleep the night before AND she didn't eat her lunch...so Clayton ended up carrying her on his shoulders most the time while he was carrying Olivia in the baby backpack. What a manly man! On the way down I stayed with Nina and we sang all the verses of "Once an Austrian Went Yodeling" as little snowflakes landed on our noses. It seemed to cheer her up.

That looks like so much fun! And look at you all smiling while not feeling so hot! Hang in there Heather. :)
ReplyDeleteI was actually feeling pretty good here...the morning sickness just hit about a week ago, otherwise I never would've made it!
