An Apple A Day

Our 3rd annual outing to the u-pick apple orchard. Grab a box and away you go! The kids can't help but run up and down the aisles of loaded trees. And I can't put my camera away, obviously. Such a fun fall tradition. Here's a little recipe to top it off!

Caramel Fondue

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 c. butter (no substitutes), cut up

1 c. packed brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1/3 c. light-colored corn syrup

2-3 Tbsp. milk

Crisp apples, sliced

Combine the first five ingredients in a medium sized pan, and cook on medium low heat until butter melts. Stir in the 2-3 Tbsp. milk. Dip in your apples and try not to eat it all at once! It's really good over ice cream too.
