Muppet Legs
Clayton made me laugh so hard the other day...he was dancing Olivia around like this on the kitchen counter and said, "Her legs are really just for show at this point, because they are pretty much useless right now." We were laughing about how baby legs are comparable to Kermit the Frog's legs, you know? For example, if you wanted the baby to look like she's riding a bike, you'd have to somehow strap her feet onto the pedals and use some wires and stuff to make it look real.
Just a Spoonful of Sugar...
Sure, we've all seen the movie, but who has read the book? I checked this out at the library for my little bookworm Hannah (can't keep enough books around for her!) and she laughed all the way through it. So I started reading it the other day while I was eating breakfast and didn't want to stop! Even though I haven't finished it, I can honestly say it's one of my favorites already. The Disney movie is pretty close, but as always, the books are usually even better!

Toilet Paper Fairy Sighting
Some more funny things from Nina's little mouth:
"I was on the potty today, and then a fairy came and gave me some toilet paper!"
"I really wish I had a cousin named Hello Kitty. And a friend named Hello Kitty. A cousin AND a friend named Hello Kitty." She seemed so depressed while telling me this. And of course, she pronounced it more like Hello Titty.
She was in trouble and I was doing the classic "Get-in-here-before-I-count-to-three" disciplining tactic. She came running on "TWO" and asked, "But Mom, why can't you count like this instead? One, two, four?" Smart girl...she knows what happens on THREE.

Good Times with Dan and Lindsie
Pretty Hailey
My sister Hailey and I had so much fun shooting her senior pics last weekend...what a beauty!
We did part of the shoot in a sketchy part of town, so we had a plan in case any scary bum jumped out at us...a plan called "run to the van as fast as you can girly!" Brilliant. Hailey had brought along a hammer as a prop for some of the pictures, which we figured could double as a weapon...? Luckily, no scary people were ever sighted. Phew!

Nina Quotes
"I want Huncha Boats for breakfast." (Honey Bunches of Oats) While eating her Huncha Boats, she pulled out one of the sliced almonds. "Do you think this looks like a beaver tooth?" Why, as a matter of fact, yes!
She also had some advice on what to feed babies:
"Babies like to eat binkies, bottles, and mommies." (Nursing mommies, that is.)
Barfy Baby
Yes, Olivia spits up a LOT. My dad said, "I think she's bulimic." Maybe that's why she's smaller than all my other babies, hmm...
The other day she had a particularly strong barfy smell from all the curds she had regurgitated, so I gave her a bath. She was smelling all sweet for about 15 seconds after I bundled her up in the towel. Then a fountain of puke spouted up and all over her face, AND she peed in the towel.
